Bradley Leon Amick, 78 of Summitville died Thursday, October 9, 2025, in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
Brad was born in Ainsworth, NE on August 3, 1947, and was the son of Harold and Edna (Edwards) Amick. He graduated from Pender High School in 1965. In his earlier years, he was involved with the FFA and 4-H. On November 30, 2000, he married Cynthia (Stiltner) Amick, she preceded him death on August 3, 2025.
Brad served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1971.
Brad had been a self-employed contractor for many years and showed Appaloosa horses and later along with his wife Cindy they bred Irish Wolfhounds.
He is survived by his son, Daniel (Kristen) Amick of Anderson, two brothers, Charles L. (Barb) Amick of Alexandria and Eric (Tammy) Amick of Summitville; two sisters, Mary Switzer and Marsha Carman both of Anderson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cynthia Amick and a brother, Roy Amick.
A service to honor Brad will be Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Marion National Cemetery with military honors by the United States Air Force and the Elwood VFW Post 5782 Honor Guard.
