Mr. Jaywayne L. Henderson, second born son of the late Dr. J. Willie and Mary Henderson, passed Monday, September 4, 2023.
He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He attended J. E. Beck High school before integrating and graduating from J. L. Mann High School. He enjoyed watching his Dallas Cowboys and Clemson Tigers football teams. He worked as a mason with his father at J. W. Henderson and Sons.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories include his daughters, Ashley (Antwaun) Hill of Fountain Inn, SC and Brittany Smith of Greenville, SC; brothers, Charles M. (Delories) Henderson of Richmond, VA and Jyrel W. (Barbara) Henderson of Greenville, SC; sister, Janis Jenkins (Demetrius Delaney) of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren, Brianna Duckett, Savannah Hill and Ashtyn Hill all of Fountain Inn, SC; aunt, Margaret Jane McJunkin of Greenville, SC; nephew, Derrick Collins of Greenville, SC; niece, Lakeisha Henderson of Baltimore, MC; and many great nieces, nephews other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by Chaneta Smith, mother of his children, son Cedric Smith and a brother, Michael Henderson all of Greenville, SC.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023, 1:00 PM at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with burial to follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will take place at the church on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, starting at 12:00 Noon until hour of service. Please keep the Henderson family in your prayers.
