Jazlyn "Sis" Phoenix Davidson,16, of Machesney Park, IL suffered unexpected severe injuries which caused her life in this physical world to end on August 5th, 2024, at Javon Bae surrounded by many family members, who loved her more than words can say.
Jazz was going into her Junior year at Harlem High School, she had attended Harlem schools since middle school. She cheered her heart out for the Harlem Huskies. Jazz had started her first job at Dairy Queen in June of 2023, and worked there all the way up until this summer.
Jazz was very artistically creative, her paintings and drawings always showed so much character and thought. She was also into messier crafts, like making slime for example. Jazz was a social butterfly, she always wanted to be out with her friends, always helping others come out of their shell and feel comfortable. She had a knack for doing hair, makeup, nails, you name it she could watch a YouTube video and learn how to do it in an hour, ever since a young age. She participated in many sports, cheerleading, volleyball, tumbling, gymnastics, and dance. She couldn't stay still; she wanted to learn new things and push herself to be better. Her love for Hello Kitty was lifelong and started as a child, especially the love for Hello Kitty pink. Jazz's favorite things were to just hang out with her friends, playing Call of Duty: Zombies, going for night drives and taking pictures.
Jazz was so many things wrapped up in one person. She had this thing with babies and small children where they just gravitated towards her. Usually, she got designated as the family babysitter. They referred to her as "the baby whisperer" because she had the touch that could calm any small child. Jazz had a big heart, with lots and lots of love to share. When her friends or even family would need advice, Jazz would have the answers. She took the time to listen and give the best advice she could think of. When talking to her, it was always genuine, you could tell by the sparkle in her eye and her soft but beautiful smile. She will be missed so dearly by so many. We'll see you in every sky, Jazz.
She's survived by both of her parents who have separate households, giving her a large blended family. Lovingly known by Jay Bird to her daddy, Jesse Coogan; stepmom, Erika Escandon; and siblings, Bubba, Ridley and Bryson. Known as Jazzy, Jay-P, Sis, Sissy #1 at her other home. Mommy, Ciara Davidson-Key; stepdad, Tyler Key; and siblings, Zaiden, Oliver, Geneva, Elias and Alaska. Her furry family consists of Gunner, Simba and Carmel who will miss her cuddles.
