JB (Jay) Lainhart, born September 13, 1945, to Merrill and Ada Lainhart in Sand Gap Kentucky, departed his earthly home in Nicholasville to be with his Heavenly Father Jesus Christ July 12th, 2025. Jay is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Ernest and Sister Cindy.
A Devoted husband of 49 years to his wife Debbie and a loving Daddy to his children, Earl J Lainhart (Angela), Jennifer Bea Glenn (Kevin), Lesley Ann Byrd and Missi Carole Lainhart. He was a proud Papaw to Brooke Davis, Markus Duckworth, Dakota Deal, Sarah-Ann Byrd, James William Byrd, Matthew Lainhart, J'lyn-Ada Edwina Lainhart, Joshua Visingaurd, Jacob Lainhart and Savanah Shelton. Along with many Great Grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Faye, Hershel, Martha, Merlene and Herman, along with a slew of Nieces and Nephews all of Sand Gap Kentucky.
JB was known for his immaculate yard, his love of fishing and his many years of dedicated work in the drywall business, retiring from Rousey's Drywall in downtown Lexington and then Southern Drywall later known as Valley Interior. Over the years, Jay made many friends through the drywall business that he thought the world of.
