Jackie "Jack" Lee Lainhart, 63, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on August 12, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on November 7, 1961 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late John Burnam Lainhart and Katie (Spivey) Lainhart. Jack graduated from Salem High School in 1981. He married the love of his life, Marvetta Alford, on February 14, 1986 and she survives. Jack earned an Associate's Degree and dedicated 15 years of his life as an extruder operator at Holm Industry, demonstrating his meticulous craftsmanship and strong work ethic. He was not only committed to his profession but also deeply passionate about sharing his knowledge. Jack found joy in teaching welding classes to high school students, imparting skills that would benefit them for a lifetime. A man of varied interests, Jack loved the thrill of racing RC cars, the serenity of fishing, and the adventure of mushroom hunting. Above all, he cherished the precious time spent with his family, creating memories that will live on in their hearts. In addition to his parents Jack is preceded in death by his siblings, John "Jay" Lainhart, Jerry Lainhart, Ronnie "Cash" Lainhart, Ica Wilkerson, and Evelyn Law. Jack is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Marvetta Lainhart, of Scottsburg, one daughter, Amanda (Brian) Pennington of Scottsburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, Braydon, Olivia, and LeeAnn Pennington; two brothers, Charles (Betty) Lainhart and Ben Lainhart; one sister, Shirley (Joe) Sears. There will be a graveside service for Jack Lainhart on Friday, August, 15, 2025 at 10:00am at New Hope Cemetery. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, in Washington County, Indiana.
