Peggy Sue Craig, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away peacefully, September 16, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on October 8, 1947, in Kentucky to the late William Thomas and Gloster (Wilson) Mahan. Peggy graduated from Austin High School in Austin, Indiana, in the class of 1965. After graduation she worked briefly at Cummins Engine Company and on November 8, 1969, Peggy married the love of her life Larry Craig, who preceded her in death August 8, 2024. Peggy worked hard as a devoted farm wife and homemaker. Together Larry and Peggy were always active in the Scott County Farm Community. She was a member of the Scott County Young Farmers and the Scott County Corn Huskers. She also was a devoted Christian and a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church, where she served on the social committee and many years working with VBS. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glen Mahan and William Myron Mahan. Peggy is survived by a daughter, Susan (Dave) Collins of Scottsburg, Indiana; son, Damon Craig of Scottsburg, Indiana; sister, Vivian (Jerry) Williams of Austin, Indiana; brothers, Ancil Mahan of Nashville, TN and Tony (Lisa) Mahan of Austin, Indiana; and grandchildren, Tristan and Braiden Collins, Dylan, Skylar, Brycen, Kayden, Curtis, and Stormi. Funeral for Peggy Craig will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11:00am at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and prior to the service Wednesday starting at 10:00am. Burial will follow services at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made in Peggy's name to Scott County Young Farmers or the Scott County Humane Society in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
