Mary Burton

Mary Burton, 90, passed away on November 17, 2025, in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on May 23, 1935 in Crothersville, Indiana, to the late William Holzworth and Bessie Holzworth. Mary graduated from Austin High School in 1955. She retired from the old RCA after 32 years and then went on to work at Hampton Inn for 18 years. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded by her husband, Robert Burton; two sisters, Latrisha Holzworth and Wilma Smith; and two brothers, Harold and Robert "Bob" Holzworth. She is survived by her two sons, Tom Burton and William Burton; and a brother, Charles Holzworth; two grandsons, Steven Philips and Billy Philips; one great granddaughter, Victoria Phillips. Funeral service for Mary Burton will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Friday, starting at 11:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
