Jean Barnes Obituary

Jean Barnes was unforgettable-a live wire whose story began in Las Cruces, NM. After marrying Asa Barnes, they moved to Italy. When he was assigned to Vietnam, faith transformed her, and she lived it boldly-sharing the Gospel everywhere, leading Bible studies, and praying fiercely. She didn't just believe in Jesus-she danced with Him through a life of adventures.

As medical missionaries, she and her husband rebuilt lives and hospitals in Kenya and Viet Nam. She loved extravagantly, making the broken feel chosen. Her vibrant faith is her family's greatest inheritance.

Dear Seth & Family,

Please accept our deepest condolences over your Mom's home-going. Jean will always hold a special place in my heart. We met in Kijabe, Kenya. She was my mentor, friend, and a prayer partner! I treasured the afternoons we met because your Mom poured words of wisdom into my life. I loved your Mom's laugh, and her birthday parties for your Dad. She played her ancient accordion and led their guests into a rousing rendition of " Jambo Bwana" as we pounded our spoon against our pan. Your Mom knew how to create FUN and LAUGHTER!
