Jean Connor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 9, 2025.
Jean Marie (née Lane) Connor, 94, passed away peacefully on 4 December at her home in Naples, Fl, accompanied by all of her children. Having lived a full life and, after receiving the Last Rites of the Catholic Faith, she succumbed to age-related natural causes.

Born 18 October 1931, in Philadelphia, Jean was raised in Germantown, Pennsylvania, the second child of the late Daniel J. and Mary C. Lane. After college, she met her late husband, Paul Connor, at the wedding of a mutual friend. They married in 1954, began their family in Catonsville, MD and then settled in Severna Park, MD where they raised their eight children.

Jean is survived by seven of her eight children: Sisi Connor Wills of West Palm Beach, FL., Jean Connor Higinbotham of Baltimore, MD., Mary Alice Connor of Naples, Fl., Kelly Connor Devine of Baltimore, MD., Paul Connor Jr of Timonium, MD., Fr Martin Connor LC of Atlanta, GA., and Fr John Connor LC of Rome, Italy. Her eldest child Mary Ann died in May 2024, after a long struggle with cancer. Jean also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A strong, generous, and joyful mother and wife, Jean leaves a legacy of goodness, faith, and service to others that flowed over in every aspect of her life. Having been a devout Catholic her whole life, she brought up her children at St John the Evangelist parish and was an avid participant in the life of the Church.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10.00 am on 15 December at Immaculate Conception Church, 200 Ware Ave, Towson, which will be officiated by her two sons. There will be a private burial with the family.
