Jean M. Johnson, age 92 of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Heartis Yardley Assisted Living in Yardley. Born in Damascus, PA, Jean was a resident of Yardley since 1966.
Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Damascus High School and Rider College. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper with Switlik Parachute Company in Trenton for 25 years. She enjoyed flowers, traveling and was an avid sports fan, her favorite sports being NASCAR and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Daughter of the late Vernon and Frieda (Gorr) Tegeler, and wife of the late Lindsey Johnson, Jean is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Suzanne Johnson and Edwin Barford of Fairless Hills, PA, her brother Robert Tegeler and wife Deanna of New City, NY, and two nieces Dawn and Gretchen.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11 AM – 12 Noon at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067, where her funeral service will begin at Noon.
Her burial in Newtown Cemetery will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean’s name, may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
