Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home – New Berlin on Mar. 18, 2025.
Jean Kustermann (nee Kriz)
Jean was 100 years old when she joined her husband and best friend Jim in Eternal Life on March 16, 2025. Preceded in death by her beloved son, Mark (Lucia Micheli). Survived by her most loving and caring son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Anne. Grandmother to Alex (Christine), Anthony, Erin, and Jeffrey Jr. Great grandmother to Lydia, George and Eliana. Also survived by nephew, Robert Manley (Mary) of Colorado. Further survived by other relatives and many good friends. A special thank you to all the caregivers at the New Berlin Regency and at Hales Corners Care Center who took great care of her.
Jean worked for the UAW Local 248 union and Wisconsin State AFL-CIO office. Jean was a longtime member and officer of St. Camillus Women's Guild, volunteer at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Meal Program and the St. Vincent DePaul Waukesha Thrift Shop. Jean enjoyed reading, gardening, needlepoint and doing crossword puzzles. Jean had a wonderful smile, and enjoyed being around her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 11am at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W. National Ave, New Berlin, WI on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with Mass to follow at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Vincent de Paul or Holy Apostles Catholic Church would be appreciated.

Aunt Jean lived 100 years and was a delight to the end of her days. Her smile lit up a room and made visits special. The warm memories she left in my life are cherished. Jeffrey and Anne were most caring through the years. May God guide dear Aunt Jean as she begins her eternal journey. Prayers, Love and Blessings to All. Germaine
