Jean Ann Lloyd, 83, of Lapel, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after a long and full life.
She was born on September 7, 1941, in Anderson, Indiana to Ollie Rutherford and Dellacene (Green) Rutherford. She was a graduate of Highland High School. She was a homemaker.
She cherished spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, working puzzles and spending time at her Southern Indiana cabin. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family which includes her sons, John (wife, Rhonda) Lloyd of Lapel and Ron (wife, Shelley) Lloyd of Anderson; grandchildren, Brianne (husband, John) Baute of Anderson, Abi (husband, Jason) Schmidt of Bedford, Mason (wife, Baley) Lloyd of Lapel; and David ( wife, Landis Joanne) Lloyd Jr. of Lapel; great-grandchildren, Darby Baute, Gwen Baute, Mavis Baute, Auli Schmidt, Colin Schmidt, Jason Bremmer, Mac Lloyd and Rayleigh Lloyd; and her loving dog, Axil.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, David E. Lloyd and her parents.
In this moment we find comfort in knowing that "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Revelations 21:4 (ESV)
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County SPCA Humane, Memorial Contribution, 2219 Crystal Street, Anderson, Indiana 46012.
