Stacy A. Boles, 56, of Lapel, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Community Hospital in Anderson following a sudden illness.
She was born on May 15, 1969, in Anderson, Indiana to Lynn Wright and Teresa (Troutman) Sexton. She was a 1987 graduate of Lapel High School, a 1991 graduate of Indiana University and a 2004 graduate of Indiana State University where she earned her master's degree. She was a school counselor at Lapel Middle School and then at Lapel High School for many years.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel. She loved her family, and especially loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and planning all of the family outings.
She had a remarkable ability to light up any room with her presence. She loved Lapel and her community, and she found joy in every connection she made throughout her life. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies during the winter months and baking with her family. She loved to give back in all aspects of her life. Her life was a testament to putting others first, offering kindness and compassion at every turn. Her spirit and legacy of love will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Stacy is survived by her husband, Sterling Boles; a son, Alex (wife, Bailey) Boles of Lapel; a daughter, Mackenzie (husband, Brady) Cherry of Lapel; four grandchildren, Ava, Beau, Sloane, Emory and one on the way; her mother, Teresa (Troutman) Sexton; a sister, Stephanie (husband, Bobby) Schuyler of Lapel; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Andy Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lapel Community Association, Lapel Parks Board or Lapel Food Pantry.
Additional parking will be provided at Ford St. United Methodist Church, with golf cart shuttles for your convenience.
