Jean Markham Obituary
Jean Rae Markham, 68, of Ashland, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at her home.
Jean was born December 9, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA to Raymond and Flora {Fanucci} Simpson.
She married Dale Markham on November 8, 2003.
Jean was a computer operator at Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, NJ for 24 years. She loved to watch I Love Lucy, loved the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles, and she loved to listen to the Gaithers and friends. She was an avid Joyce Myers fan. Christmas was Jeans favorite time of the year, she loved to play Ms. Clause with Santa for many years.
Jean will be deeply missed by her son Rob (Jen) Cline of Mays Landing, NJ; step daughter Missy Baker of Ashland; grandchildren Evie Cline-Geck, Araya Confer, Andrew, Cecil, Moss, and Zac Crowell; brother Glenn (Mary) Simpson of Bear, DE; and twin sister Irene (Jon) Claypool of Powhatan, VA.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, and brother Mark Simpson.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 12 at 11 at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Jean-Markham) with Pastor Reggie Cureton officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer at seacure.PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).org/site/donation. The family would like to thank Hospice nurses Gretchen, Tara, Emily, and nurse aid Gina.
