JEAN ROSE SNOWA

SNOWA, Jean Rose, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2013 after battling Multiple System Atrophy for several years. She was born in Richmond, Va., on July 28, 1952. Jean is survived by her husband of 35 years, James D. Snowa Sr.; son, James D. Snowa Jr.; and daughter, Katheryne J. Snowa. She is also survived by four siblings, Leslie W. Rose III, M.D. (Becky), Isabel M. Rose, Ph.D., Frederic C. Rose, Debbye M. Silva (Tim); and six nieces. While she enjoyed various activities, one of her favorites was spending time in Deltaville with family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on June 26, 2013 at Bliley's - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., 23230. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 27, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Ave., 23226. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Richmond Animal League, 11401 International Dr., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23236, or the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, 8716 W. Broad St., Richmond, Va. 23294.
