Jean M Swanson, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family to join her Lord and savior on December 22, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1935, in Charlevoix,  MI, the daughter of Ed and Lauretta Swanson, who preceded her in death. Also preceded her in death were her sister Roberta (Erich) Wegner, brother Guy (Patricia) Swanson, Nieces Samantha Kay Davis and Alisabeth Swanson.
She is survived by her sister Sharon (Tom) Davis, brother Carl(Jamie) Swanson . Her nieces and nephews were so special to her. Duane (Shelia) Davis, Christine Davis, Adam (Joan) Wegner, Hanz (Shelley) Davis ,Brian (Paula) Swanson, Brandy (Dan) Doyle, Joshua (Dominique) Swanson, Michael (Taylor) Baldry. Many great and great-great nieces and nephews and so many friends.
Jean graduated from Charlevoix High School, Evangelical Deaconess Hospital as a RN and Cornerstone (Baptize Bible College) with a Bachelor of Science degree.
She loved the Lord and was truly one of Gods angels. She loved sharing Gods word with everyone she meant and helping them find salvation. Everyone loved visiting her in her home as it was a cozy comfortable welcoming environment. Always a happy smile and kind words, great conversation. A mentor and special Aunt to all her family and friends. Everyone adored her and the time they spent with her. She always had time for you and made you feel special. She will be missed by all.
She spend most of her career working in pediatrics and later in labor and delivery; a very special nurse.
She loved her church (Parr Memorial Church) First Baptist church of Petoskey.
In lieu of flowers she would love any donation to go to The first Baptist Church, 1250 Atkins St. Petoskey Mi 49770
There will be a graveside service at Barnard cemetery at 12:30 following with a celebration of life at the Episcopal church in Charlevoix on Friday, May 16th .
