Jean R. Wehler

Jean R. Wehler, age 95, of Sheffield Village, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026. She was born January 3, 1931 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania to parents Urban Ben Graziano and Genevieve (nee Frey) Graziano - Rittenhouse.

Jean grew up alongside her siblings in Daguscahonda, PA and graduated from Ridgeway High School. She met Gus Wehler at work and after dating, and his enlistment in the Army, they were married at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina on July 26, 1951. Jean kept a well-run home, with children joining the family, eventually eight of them in total. Jean and Gus moved several times, but eventually settled in Sheffield Village near family. The home they built still remains, along with the memories created within its walls. As a homemaker, Jean was busy with her children and grandchildren and always enjoyed laughing at the chaos young ones would bring. In her later years, she worked as an Aid for Head Start in Lorain County, spreading her warmth and joy through the county. Jean was an avid knitter, making sure everyone in the family had slippers and an afghan from her. More recently she enjoyed reading and coloring apps on her phone in her quiet time.

Jean is survived by her loving children Claudette (Ray) Campana, Paula (Bill) Stavesky, Joe (Debbie) Wehler, Julie Wehler, Mary (Dennis) Paul, Adele Wehler, Lisa (David) Stoltz, and Tricia (Dale) Ratz; beloved grandchildren Nicole (Ken), Megan, Ben (Carrie), Alex (Jenna), Andrew (Christine), Nicholas (Laney), Taylor (Emily), Leah (James), Kevin, Katelin (Joleen), Genevieve (Derek), Adam (Morgan), Michaela, and Luke (Lydia); cherished great-grandchildren Tim, Sam, Raelyn, Sophia, Shane, Adalyn, Jackson, Eleanor, Isla, Arthur, Quinn, Anna, Victor, Oliver, Eliza, Noah, and Baker; and dear brothers Roger (Nancy) Graziano and Aaron (Mary) Rittenhouse. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years Urban "Gus" Wehler; cherished grandson Brad; and siblings Marian, Pat, Earl, and Michael.

Family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1878 Abbe Rd, Sheffield Village, OH 44054. Burial will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery.
