Jean E. "Mom Mom" Wilson-Taylor, 79, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Virtua Hospital, Marlton.
She was born in 1943, in Cherry Hill, NJ and resided in East Pennsauken early on. For the last 31 years her and her husband, Ray have resided in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Jean loved her Native American Indian heritage. A descendant of the Lakota-Sioux tribe, she was a member of the Native American Society. She loved to attend Pow Wows to celebrate the culture. She enjoyed traveling across the country, her favorite places to go were the Badlands National Park and the Black Hills of South Dakota. She loved going to the shore in her early days, frequently visiting Island Beach State Park. Jean started most days with a visit to WAWA. She was fond of all animals, rescuing many stray cats in her lifetime. She loved black bears, if there was a sighting and she was nearby, she would try her best to see the bear, if she could. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Thomas Wilson, Dolly Ives and Carolyn Novak.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her husband of 33 years, Raymond W. "Pop Pop" Taylor, Sr., her daughter, Bobbie Beitz-DiMartinis (Michael), her granddaughter, Bobbie Jean Beitz, her step-children, Missy Taylor (George Konopka), Raymond W. Taylor, Jr. (Donna), Connie Taylor, Fred Taylor (Kim), JoAnna Kemmerle (Joe), her sister, Edwina Murphy, her grandchildren, Ray J., Josh, Crysta, Garrett, Jessica (Joe), Tyler, Rebekah, Madelyn, Freddy and Sofia, her great grandchildren, Alexa, Jaxen, Skyler and Kayden, as well as a host of family and friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to her visitation on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Inglesby & Sons Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08109. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean's honor to Angels Helping Animals, 326 New Albany Road, #100, Moorestown, NJ 08057, as they have assisted Jean in rescuing cats.
