Jeanann Britton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care - Zephyrhills Chapel on Oct. 1, 2025.
It is with profound sadness, that the family of Jean Ann DeSantis Buckley Britton, passed away days after her 81st birthday.
Jean Ann succumbed in Zephyrhills Florida, at a beautiful hospice following a brief illness, on August 22nd, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Gertrude and Michael, step-brother Michael Jr DeSantis, step-sister Rose DeSantis Soares, and Jean's son, Tommy (Thomas) Buckley Jr.
Mom QB (if you know, you know) was often a force to be reckoned with - never too shy to give her opinion, even and especially when it was unsolicited. Likely earning her the title of QB, one she wore quite proudly. She loved her family fiercely and showed it in often in subtle ways. She loved cooking, and food was her love language. Sometimes wine was also her love language, but they paired well, you just needed to find the right balance to enjoy both. Entertaining a large family event, or an equally large group of friends over the holidays brought her immense joy. If she invited you into her kitchen for help during her holiday extravaganzas, that was her gesture of trust and love, and then she'd send you home with plenty of leftovers in her Tupperware. And cookies. So many Xmas cookies.
Mom loved her Tupperware, one of her main gigs was selling the famous storage containers and accessories and she excelled at it. She was also the Avon lady who collected nearly as much as she sold, but she shone brightly in this field as well. Her keen sense for making money and finding the right deals brought her and husband Larry, to many grand vacations, often by water on cruise ships to various destinations. With the love of her life beside her, whether on a beach in Hawaii or a Christmas gathering in New Jersey with family all around, the photo proof of a life well lived are the memories we can hold close.
Jean Ann, known as Jeanann, was the firstborn to Gertrude McHardy DeSantis and Michael DeSantis Sr on August 17th, 1944. She is survived by her husband, Larry Britton, her brother William "Billy" (Linda) DeSantis, and sister Cissy (Bill) DeSantis Maugeri, her daughter Bucky (CJ) Blaze, nieces, nephews & many beloved great nieces, nephews, grandchildren and her genuinely loved cats Petunia, Spooky and Shadow aka The Brat. We will all miss her greatly.
With much love mom, until we meet again.
