Jeaneane Najjar passed peacefully at the Blake Retirement Home on May 29, 2025. She was 80.
Jeaneane was born on September 16, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Gaines and Catherine Gaskins. She later moved to Sparks, Georgia, where she graduated from Cook High School in 1962 and attended Valdosta State College. In 1968 Jeaneane married Tom Najjar, who was stationed in Valdosta with the U. S. Air Force, which transferred the Najjars to Panama City in 1970.
Jeaneane was an accomplished accountant with eight years' experience when she arrived in Panama City. She joined a CPA firm which eventually led to her owning her own bookkeeping and tax service, The Accounting Group. Jeaneane was actively involved in community service, working on Salvation Army fund drives and the United Fund's annual campaign. In November 1973 Tom and Jeaneane joined the Panama City Jaycees and Jaycettes, respectively. In April of 1975 Jeaneane was elected president of the Panama City Jaycettes, and in 1976 the chapter was named the most outstanding Jaycee Auxiliary in the State of Florida. Jeaneane was devoted to her late husband, Tom, and loved her dogs and birds. Jeaneane was predeceased by Tom, her husband of 56 years.
She is survived by her three brothers-in-law, George, Michael, and Peter, and many, many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.

Well Jeaneane there's not many of us old Jaycettes left. Sure made a lot of good memories. From Panama City all the way to Philadelphia and Atlantic City. The best in the nation. I'm glad you and Tom are back together. I'm sure y'all are partying with Frank and Carol. Sending much love to your family.
