Funeral services celebrating the life of Jeanell Craig Foster will be at 1:00PM on Monday, November 3, 2025 in the chapel of Fall Creek Funeral Home, Pineville with the Rev. Dennis Snoddy officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.
Visitation will begin at 11:00AM until time of services at Fall Creek Funeral Home, 1800 Military Hwy., Pineville.
Mrs. Foster, age 94 of Pineville entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Oak Haven Nursing Home, Centerpoint.
Jeanell was a native of Latanier, La. She worked for many years as a "Cottage Mother" for Pinecrest State School. She was also a former Rapides Parish School bus driver. She was very proud to have set the bar as the very first "Female" school bus driver for the Rapides Parish School Board, thereafter opening the door for women to apply which began the new trend. She also worked for Angola State Penitentiary where she was a qualified sharp shooter. At home, she was known as an excellent cook. She will be sadly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Pat Craig and Jim Foster, two sons, Wendell and Cleveland Craig, her parents, Otis and Edith Nelson, one brother, John Murrell Nelson, her grandson, Glen Craig and her nephew, Kemp Nelson.
Jeanell is survived by her daughter, Patti Neal of Kolin, La., her grandchildren, Scott Craig, Matthew Neal, Rebekah Miller, Sarah Smith, Jacob Neal, Pat Craig, Ann Craig and Corey Craig. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and her daughters in law, Trudy Craig and Helen Craig.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be; Matthew Neal, Scott Craig, Pat Craig, Corey Craig, Jacob Neal and Ryan Gordon.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fall Creek Funeral Home, Pineville, Robbie Dauzat, Director
