Darrell Plant Obituary

Mr. Plant, 75, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in his residence.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life; casting a line on a quiet morning, or sitting around a fire with a cold beer in hand and good company nearby. More than anything, he cherished the moments spent with his family, who were truly the center of his world. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Plant; and his parents, Leolis D. Jones and Jean Lucille Adams.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include four sons, Ray Murphy of Pineville, Audy Murphy (Christy) of Pollock, Darrell Plant, Jr. (Jane) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Brian Plant of St. Louis, Missouri; four daughters, Carla LaCaze (Darrell) of Pineville, Bonnie Murphy of Pineville, Samantha Plant of Pineville, and Kimberly Plant of Illinois; one brother, Aaron Ames of Southern California; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: John Durison, Dewayne Hanner, Donald Durison, Audy Murphy, Ray Murphy, and Darrell LaCaze.
