Jeanette Marie Bostrom-Eastham died on May 15, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. We do believe she would say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race."
Jeanette was born to Carol Neuman & Bill Eastham on November 14, 1953, and it was then she began a race that never slowed down for her. She was preceded in death by both her mother and father and her brother Paul. But even without her family by her side, she lived the "Good Life," with God's guidance.
She faithfully served her country for many years in the Air Forces during the Viet Nam era as a mechanic and was very proud of her service to her country. Throughout her adult life she worked in various hospitals as a phlebotomist. In her early retirement she expanded her love for animals by adopting various dogs, cats, horses, parrots and yes, even a small pony. One was able to see how much she cared for God's creatures as they laid with her as she was dying.
She also found time to express her creativity through her love of music and the guitar, which she played faithfully at her church. The other skills she mastered throughout time were a keen eye for photography. She could capture the beauty of God's nature into a picture and make it into a card, and with her special message would truly send a message that would touch your heart and calm you soul. But it was her gift of cooking that always tempted your palate and won you over. She was a trained "Master Chef" that made her grandmother very proud. Whether it was dessert or a full meal, she prepared everything from scratch and with LOVE. Toward the end of her life, she chose to express herself through the craft of carving. According to her teacher, "she had the gift."
After her 3rd fight with cancer and overcoming it, Jeanette became a very active bike rider. She became involved with others in this sport and began riding across the city, state and yes in the country. She also became very involved in dog training. While enduring Chemo and fighting for life. She and her faithful dog Sara won 1st place. Go Jeanette!!
Jeanette was a faithful member of Redeemer Church in Lansing, MI and faithful she was. She gave of herself to God, to church and to others all the way to the end of her life. Her three main roles in her church were as a musician, treasurer and council member. She was loved by all and will be missed by all.
We, the people who grew to love this "Faithful Servant" of God will gather to celebrate her life at Redeemer Church, 2727 W. Holmes Rd., Lansing, MI. 48911, 517-882-8000.
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, we will celebrate the fact that Jeanette finally finished her race.
Visitation, 10:00am, Service, 11:00am and Lunch will Follow. In lieu of flowers you are encouraged to show your love for Jeanette by giving a gift to Redeemer Church, her second home.
