Jeanette Constantini

Ms. Jeanette Constantini was born on August 29th, 1948, in Jacksonville, Florida to Ralph and Ola Woodard. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1966. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and her master's degree from Jacksonville University-both in education. Jeanette was a devoted schoolteacher for 39 years. She taught English and nurtured the young minds of many students from North Florida. Jeanette was an active member of Mayfair Baptist Church for many years. She also belonged to the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and enjoyed participating in fellowship and community outreach with her sorority sisters.
Jeanette was generous, loving, and lighthearted. Always quick to laugh, she took delight in the simple joys of life. Jeanette's home was full of reminders to worry less and love more, to be joyful, to be kind. Jeanette practiced these virtues beautifully and truly, bringing a smile and soft words to everyone she met. Jeanette took pride in her hometown of Jacksonville and became quite an expert on the local history and heritage of the city. Jeanette loved to garden, to spend quality time with her family and friends, and to go "treasure hunting" at her favorite local thrift shops. Her son Tony was the greatest love and pride of her life. His (much like her brother's) particular brand of humor never failed to delight and amuse her. Jeanette had a great fondness for angels, collecting hundreds over the years. We take comfort in knowing that her beloved angels carried her safely and peacefully into the arms of her Savior.
Jeanette is survived by her brother, her sister Carolyn, and her son Tony, as well as a host of other relatives and friends from North Florida and South Georgia.
