Jeanette Stiles Ray

Jeanette Stiles Ray, 79, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and formerly of Murphy, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025.
Born March 9, 1946, the daughter of the late Rev. Noah and Tempa Stiles, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her sisters, Effie Marie Clayton, Rosa Mae Green, and Stella Mann; her brothers, Charles, Harlin, and Harley Stiles; her siblings who passed in early childhood, Horace, Charlie, and Vicky Lou; and her beloved granddaughter, Heather Haynes.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Michael Haynes of Lincolnton; her sister, Geraldine Wray of Dallas; and her brother, Walter Stiles and wife Kathey of Dallas. She is also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who love her dearly.
Jeanette had a wonderful gift for entertaining and a love for singing. She cherished every moment with her family, especially the children, who affectionately called her "Net-Net" and filled her life with happiness. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will never fade.
A graveside service will be held at Swanson Cemetery (old) in Murphy, North Carolina, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., where Jeanette will be laid to rest among family.
In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Swanson Baptist Church, 1316 Hedden Stiles Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
