Jeanette M. Tongate, 79, of Roodhouse, IL passed away Thursday morning, January 26, 2023, at her residence in Roodhouse, IL.
Jeanette was born September 2, 1943, in Havana,IL, a daughter of Loren and Lutha Mae (Close) Turner.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her companion Earl Meisenheimer and her sisters, Laura Faye Troutman and Vivian Kuhn.
She retired from the Chesterfield Tavern as a bartender. Jeanette loved her cats and enjoyed their company.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 30,2023 at Bethel Cemetery rural Greenfield, IL.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Raymond Turner (significant other Patricia Sue Stevens) of Roodhouse, IL, daughter Nancy Ribble of Jacksonville, IL, brothers, John L. (Kay) Turner of Bluffs, IL. and Ernest (Barb) Turner, of Palmyra, IL, sisters Patty Kuhlman, of Havana, IL, and Rosie Gibbs of Modesto, IL., as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the family.
