Jeanette, God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." A golden heart stopped beating. It's time to take your rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.

Jeanette was in Philadelphia, PA, where she lived for 8 years until her mother moved her and her siblings from Philadelphia, PA, to Norfolk, VA, for a new beginning. At an early age, she attended Garden of Prayer #3 under the leadership of Elder Cornelius Purkett for many years. She attended James Monroe and James Madison Elementary School. She then went on to attend Rosemont Junior High, following Maury High, where she graduated from the class of 1981.

Jeanette was predeceased by her father, the late William Speller, Jr., and mother, the late Yvonne H. Speller, both of Winsor, NC; and her grand-dog, Teddy, who stood by her side. Jeanette leaves to cherish her husband, Kenneth Traynham, of 40 years, whom she married on August 7, 1984; one daughter, Tamika Traynham; three sisters, Patricia Hickmon, Prophetess Tina Brown Moore, and Delores McCoy; one brother, Alan Speller, all of Norfolk, VA; two brother-in-laws, Vincent M. Moore and Christopher Traymham and sister-in-laws, Alyia Traynham, Tynetta Traynham, Tamara Dawson, and Elizabeth Speller; her mother-in-law, Rose Traynham; along with a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Jeanette was known for her gentle nature and her beautiful singing voice. She was big on family and support. She will be truly missed by those who knew her best.
