John Traynham Obituary
Born in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late John Alton Traynham and Anzo Crawford Traynham Boggs. John was a graduate of Clemson University and was a retired Financial Advisor. He was a charter member of Graceview Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda C. Traynham; son, C. Todd Traynham and daughter-in-law, Lorie J. Traynham; two grandsons, Brayden G. Traynham and Luke J. Traynham; brother, Larry Traynham; brother-in-law, Derrell Capell; sister-in-law, Mickey Boggs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his stepfather, Olin C. Boggs; stepbrother, Vance Boggs; and sisters-in-law, Beverly Traynham and Peggy Capell.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, at Graceview Church conducted by Pastor Jeff Bartlett. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Burial will be private.
Due to family allergies, the family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Graceview Church, 120 Centerville Road, Anderson, SC 29625, or The Haven of Rest, P.O. Box 466, Anderson, SC 29622.

Mr.John Traynham was one of the finest Christian men I have ever met! My sympathy and love go out to his family! He was a very good friend of mine!My sympathy goes out to his wife Brenda and his son Todd, whom I had the good fortune to teach! I send my love and prayers to all!!!!!!

John you always had a smile & a wonderful hello for your church family. You have gone thru so much but you seemed to bounce back. God finally said "That's enough John" and HE healed you completely by taking you home to be with HIM. You will be missed by so many.

My wife and I were fortunate that we attended WSHS with Gar! Everybody knew Gar and enjoyed being around him. I also played on the same WSHS Hornet football team with him. He was a good friend. We offer our condolences to the entire family.
