Jeanine Edouard

Born on March 20, 1955, Jeanine Edouard was the eldest of eight offspring born to Mr. and Mrs. Elius Edouard. Jeanine was born in Gonaives, Haiti. After her primary education she received her secondary education at Gonaives Secondary School. She graduated at 15 years old, then went to Port-au- Prince to complete her final studies. She moved to New Jersey in 1980, where she continued to reside until her earthly departure. While in New Jersey she connected with Luckner Etienne and became his wife and devotedly cared for their children Lucterson Etienne, Diane Etienne-Yepez and Lina Souffrant. As the eldest child, Jeanine was also a " MOTHER " to her 7 siblings and their spouses along with their children. Jeanine loved to take care of her family. She was a dedicated, courteous, and respectful mother and enjoyed fulfilling her role as a grandmother to four grandchildren. Jeanine was not only a responsible mother, but she was endowed with wisdom and acclaimed for her good character which was always full of love.

Jeanine was a hard worker and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant to take care of her family. She absolutely loved to take care of people. This made her work of 26 years at Cranford Health & Extended Care pleasurable. She was punctual every day and never experienced discord with her peers or management.

Jeanine led a modest life, was a tolerant and respectful woman, and was appreciated and respected by all. She was also viewed as the "Sheep or Lamb" of the family because of her peaceful manner. The children of her friends and contemporaries knew her for the great kindness she showed whenever they visited her home. Jeanine loved and kept in contact with friends and family from young to old. All who had the privilege to know her recognized how her presence warmed their hearts and brightened their days with her joy.

Sadly, Jeanine transitioned on June 1, 2025. Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents and sister Felix Edouard. She leaves to cherish her memories her Husband, Luckner Etienne, son Lucterson Etienne, daughters Diane Etienne-Yepez, Lina Souffrant, grandchildren Alexia Denise Mitchell, Avery Michelle Yepez, Liam Eli Etienne and Ariana Paige Yepez. Jeanine also has six surviving siblings, Gramonese Edouard, Ovel Edouard, Olimpita Edouard Dieujuste, Elismond Edouard, Reginal Edouard, Dorelia Edouard and a host of relatives and friends who will greatly miss her.

May the soul of Jeanine Edouard rest in peace and may the Earth be pleasantly light to her!

Beaux-frères et belles-sœurs: Walmery Etienne, Thonia Etienne, Keteline Etienne, Vincent Etienne, Sonavest Etienne, Walshion Etienne, Willson Etienne, Junior Etienne, Darlène Etienne, Tonose Etienne, Zuzette Etienne, Lusnette Etienne, Welton Etienne, Celie Etienne, Wilbert Auguste, Anagracia Edouard, Lomène Edouard.
