Jeanne Amaral Obituary

Jeanne Lucille Amaral, 81, of Falmouth, passed away peacefully at sunrise on October 2, 2025, with her son by her side, blanketed in the love of family and friends.

To know Jeanne was to be loved by her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. To her Rogers Road "kids," she was Mama Jeanne, and over the years she lovingly adopted countless others as her own. Later in life, she was blessed with the joy of becoming "Grams" to a second generation. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by her people.

Jeanne's love was expressed through her many gifts and talents. She created wedding cakes too numerous to count, brought her famous chocolate sheet cake to every gathering and found countless other ways to care for those around her. If someone had a need, Jeanne found a way to meet it.

Born and raised in Falmouth, Jeanne built a beautiful life rooted in family, friendship, and community. She loved making memories on Martha's Vineyard, and was deeply connected to the Falmouth Fire Department family alongside her late husband, Clifford B. Amaral, and especially enjoyed competing in musters. Known for her adventurous spirit, Jeanne had a way of turning even the simplest of days into something memorable.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Virginia Roberts of Falmouth,MA ; her sisters, Baby Jane and Patricia R. Fisher of Buzzards Bay; her daughter, Megan J.L Amaral of Wellfleet,MA; and her husband, Clifford B. Amaral.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Wade Amaral of Tewksbury, MA, her brother Jim (Gail) Roberts of Falmouth, MA , her sister Judith Freeland of Welsh, LA and her grandchildren; William, Elizabeth, and Jonathan Amaral of Burlington, MA and Kayla, Jenna (Chris), Cody (Livia), Brady Garcia and great grandson Coen Connolly all of Falmouth; her treasured stepchildren Daryl (Pat) Amaral of Barnesville, OH, Glenn (Wendy) Amaral of North Falmouth, Michelle (Steve) Capone of Ossipee, NH, Robin Amaral of East Falmouth, Craig Amaral of Leominster, MA, Holly Amaral of Tampa, FL, Wendy Amaral-Gallerani (Jim) of Pacifica, CA, Kevin Amaral of Falmouth, and Mark (Anne) Amaral of West Dundee, IL; as well as a large and loving extended family and countless friends who became family.

Jeanne's life was defined by love, a strong faith in God, generosity, and a boundless spirit that touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visiting hours will begin at 10:00am in Chapman Funeral and Cremations 475 Main Street Tuesday, October 14th and conclude with a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will follow the Service in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30pm.
