It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Jeanne passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Toni and Trish House. She was 75 years old.

Jeanne was born November 12, 1950, in Bay City, to the late Roman and Alice (Pieczkowski) Kontranowski. She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1969. In 1978, she began her career at Bay Medical Center, faithfully serving until her retirement in 2011, when the hospital became known as McLaren Bay Region.

Jeanne was a devoted member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, worshiping at St. Hyacinth Church.

She cherished every moment spent with her daughter, Dawn (Jeffrey) Bowman, and her two treasured grandsons, Jordan and Brady Bowman. For the past 30 years, Jeanne looked forward to camping every weekend at Lost Valley Campground with her family - it was truly her happy place. She loved spontaneous road trips at any hour, delighted in being a regular jokester who enjoyed pulling playful pranks, and found great joy in cooking and trying new recipes to share with others.

On June 26, 1971, she married the love of her life, Ricky Brozewski, at St. Hyacinth Church. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2021.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Jeffrey) Bowman; her two cherished grandsons, Jordan and Brady Bowman; very special brother, Larry (Bernadette) Kontranowski; three sisters-in-law, Marian Kontranowski, Lynn (John) Santoviz, and Carol Brozewski; her beloved and very special nephews, Michael, Jim, Kevin, Brian, Scott, and Marc Kontranowski; and a very close friend, Marie Murawski, who will feel her loss terribly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick; her parents, Roman and Alice Kontranowski; her brother, James Kontranowski; her father- and mother-in-law, Chester and Florence Brozewski; her brother-in-law, Gary Brozewski; and a very special dear friend, Sally Peplinski.

Funeral services for Jeanne will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1200 Garfield Avenue, Bay City, Michigan 48708. Sue Roznowski will preside. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
