Richard W. Brozewski

Richard W. Brozewski, age 82, passed away peacefully on December 27 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Patricia Brozewski and the beloved father of Deborah (Joan Knox) and Jennifer (Andrew McDowell). Richard was born and raised in Chicago, IL. After graduating from St. Mel's High School, Richard began his career as a machine operator; he proudly operated a deckle machine for decades before he retired. Richard met his wife, Patricia, and married her in 1973; he remained devoted to her for 49 years until she passed in 2022. Richard found joy in watching and discussing sports, especially baseball. From April until October, you'd likely find Rich watching any baseball team on TV, but he was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs. Richard also had a passion for stamp collecting, spending countless hours curating and preserving his collection. For him, each stamp held a story, connecting him to far-off places and pieces of history. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5 from 12 to 2 pm. at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Avenue, Darien, with a funeral service to follow. Interment will take place privately at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
