Jeanne Barnes Cordell passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 65.

She was born on May 24, 1960, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Dalphna Boatwright Barnes and Alvin Barnes. Jeanne was raised in Humble, Texas, and graduated from Humble High School.

Jeanne was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Humble and identified strongly with her Christian faith. She loved animals, enjoyed gardening, and spent the last decade of her life in Liberty Hill, Texas.

She is survived by her son, Charles Allen Boxley, and his wife, Amanda, along with their children: Mason, Kyler, Charlie, Charlotte, and Cheyenne. She is also survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael T. Cordell; her stepchildren Jennifer Cordell and her son Jacob, Rosemarie Cordell and her husband Ian, and Michael Cordell II and his wife Ashley, along with their children, Michael Dillon and Abigail from Michael's first marriage to Debra Smith.

She will be cremated, and in lieu of a near-term funeral, her family will hold a celebration of life later this year, with details to be shared when plans are finalized.
