Jeanne Marie Craig, 92, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at her home in Nevada, MO. Jeanne was born on October 1, 1932, in Ironwood, MI to John and Fannie (Leppanen) Makinen. On May 1, 1954, she married Donald W. Craig at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, WI. Donald preceded her in death on December 20, 1998.

Jeanne was raised in Michigan and at age nine, moved to Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee in 1950. Don and Jeanne came to Nevada in 1977 and took over ownership and operated Country Kitchen from 1977-1986. In 1986, they moved to Sedalia and opened Country Kitchen there. Following retirement, they returned to Nevada in 1994.

Jeanne is survived by a son, Jay Craig (Maryann), Pooler, GA; daughter, Sandra "Sam" DeLaney (Larry), Nevada, MO; numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughter, Linda Craig; and two sisters, Elvira Stoltz and Dottie Carlson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nevada, with Rev. Johannes Brann officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at 10:30a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, WI. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in Jeanne's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, Nevada, MO in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
