JEANNETTA PLUNK RILEY

 Henderson, TN: Jeannetta Ann Mitchell Plunk Riley age 80 passed away April 11, 2024, at Lexington Premier in Lexington, KY.

She was born June 2, 1943, in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Ernest and Sadie Henson Mitchell. She married Don Plunk, Sr. on December 2, 1961. They made their home in Henderson. Mr. Plunk preceded her in death.

She worked at ITT Grinnell for many years and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church.

She enjoyed square dancing, going to yard sales, playing cards, shopping and dressing up and being around people.

Mrs. Riley is survived by, a daughter, Donna Carroll of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Ashley Carroll, Holly Holladay and husband Nathan, and Don Plunk, III;  three great grandchildren, Emerson Holladay, Grayson Holladay and Millie Holladay; and two brothers, Fred Mitchell, and wife, Peggy, of MS and Virgil Mitchell of Henderson, KY. She is also survived by William Riley of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Don Plunk, Sr.; a son, Don Lincoln Plunk, Jr.  and three brothers, Ernest Ray Mitchell, Edward Mitchell and Lloyd Thomas.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 17th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Johnny Connor officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Bethel Springs, TN.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time on Wednesday.
