Jeannette R. Blevins, 85, of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Ridgewood Center, in Bedford, NH, after a period of declining health.
Jeannette was born on September 29, 1938, in Newmarket, NH, the daughter of the late Henri and Alice (Shina) Belleau. She graduated from Newmarket High School with the class of 1956. In February 1957, she married Millard Blevins and moved to Manchester, NH in 1970.
At the time of her employment, Mrs. Blevins worked for many years at Velcro, USA.
She loved to cook and spend time at the beach and lake. Jeannette loved listening to Christmas music and Elvis. Jeannette had a beautiful voice and sang in school plays. She especially liked spending time with family and loved being a Nana.
Members of her family include; her children, Scott Blevins and his wife, Susan, of Manchester, NH; Pamela “Pam” Lemire and her husband, Tim, of Manchester, NH; Tim Blevins, of Cape Coral, FL; 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind, Kathy Blevins and Lise Blevins. Mrs. Blevins was predeceased by her husband, Millard, her sister, Therese and her brother, John.
Jeannette leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and cherished memories. She will be dearly missed.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester, NH. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 5 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bedford, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Jeannette.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the Ridgewood Center for their care and dedication to Jeannette.
