Jeannette L. VanPelt

Jeannette L. VanPelt, age 89, of Gloversville, NY, departed from this world on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY.
Born on June 30, 1935, in Johnstown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Martha (Billant) Adamovich.
She is survived by her son, Jess Urionaguena (Virginia) of California; grandchildren, Kelley and Riley, of California, Jason, Lorne, Erin, Austin; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was also a beloved aunt to her niece, Rosie Palmer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jeannette is predeceased to her late husband, Jim VanPelt, and her son, Richard Freeman; grandchildren, Bryon, Devin.
A woman of many interests, Jeannette's passion for painting allowed her to capture the beauty of the world. Chris was always by her side in the garden helping her with many tasks. She was a devout Christian who took solace and strength from reading her devotions. She also enjoyed playing a game of solitaire. Jeannette was an avid cat lover helping take care of strays in the neighborhood with her friend, Michelle. Above all, her greatest joy was in spending quality time with her family. Jeannette's charitable nature extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many through her support of numerous charities.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational United Church, 31 E. Fulton Street, Gloversville, NY with refreshments to follow.
