Jeannine Marie Chomiak of Calabash, formerly Congers, NY, returned to her heavenly home on April 11, 2025.

Lovingly known as Jeannine the Queen, she was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Robert and Thelma (Hull) Erdman. Jeannine attended St Mary's of Notre Dame and received her BA from the University of Detroit.

Jeannine moved to NYC to pursue a career in advertising achieving professional success. She was a woman of tremendous faith and believed in serving others. While still working and raising her family, Jeannine was the Director of the St Paul's CCD program and a Eucharistic Minister. After retiring and relocating, Jeannine continued to give to others through volunteering in the Brunswick County Schools and the St Brendan's food pantry as well as collecting essentials for the homeless.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert, who cared for her until the very end. She is also survived by her loving children, Tom (Michelle), Kaylin (Tony), Kerry (John) and Damien (Elizabeth) and her grandchildren Kevin, Delaney, Kayleigh, Michael, Dylan, Christian and Juliet. She is also survived by her brother Bobby Erdman (Deanna) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Thelma (Hull) Erdman and her brother Michael.

A funeral Mass will be held on 04/28/2025 at 11:00 am at St Brendan's in Shallotte. She will be buried at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake, NY on 05/31/2025.

Jeannine was the life of the party and loved tremendously by all who knew her. Her family wishes to thank all who have supported them and are eternally thankful to the Lower Cape Fear Life Center Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Lower Cape Fear Life Center.
