Alan's favorite role was that of husband and father. The blessings did not stop for Alan, for he enjoyed four beautiful granddaughters, Ella, Madeline, Lucy and Olivia.
Alan and Claire enjoyed traveling and spent many vacations in different countries in Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and many National Parks in the U.S. Alan had a full life but did not forget people less fortunate. He was a former member of St. Michael's Church in Wayne, NJ where he worked on Building and Grounds, Outreach, Usher and Memorial Garden Chair. Alan also did a lot of volunteer work for the American Red Cross Disaster Services, such as setting up shelters after the many hurricanes, especially Sandy; installed smoke detectors in lower income housing with local fire departments, established temporary residences for people who were burned out of their homes and many other clerical duties. He belonged to NJ Business Marketing Association and was on the Board at Latigo HOA in Castle Rock, CO.
In lieu of flowers, Alan had requested that donations be made in his name, to his son Craig's Walk MS team in Jersey City, NJ.
