Jeannine Amanda Neubecker, 78, of Palm City, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
She was born to the late William and Norma Duffey on February 19, 1947, in Painesville, Ohio. Jeannine graduated from Fairport Harding High School in 1965. She went on to study music at Ohio University, where she met and then married David Neubecker, the love of her life. They began their life together in Nelsonville, Ohio, where she taught elementary school. There, the family grew, as Jeannine and David had their first daughter, Amanda, in 1969. Later, the happy family relocated to the Toledo area, where their family grew once again, as Jeannine and David had their second daughter, Alison, in 1971. While still in Ohio, Jeannine earned her nursing degree and practiced nursing for much of her life. In 1984, the family moved to Palm City, Florida, where she retired in 2012 and resided for the remainder of her life.
Jeannine was raised Lutheran and actively went to the Lutheran church until 1980. She then became a practicing Latter-day Saint up until 2002, when she became widowed. For the remainder of her life, she believed in Jesus Christ as her savior and looked forward to being reunited with her late husband, David, upon her death.
Jeannine enjoyed sewing, knitting, canning, and baking throughout her life. She and David loved their children and all of their many dogs. They also loved to explore history, with a special interest in Native American culture. She was a walking encyclopedia to those who knew her; she loved to share stories of her youth and had an affinity for apple fritters. She loved to travel, seeing much of the United States, Europe, and various provinces in Canada.
Jeannine is survived by her two daughters, Amanda Martin and Alison Marcinkus; her grandchildren, William Neubecker, Paige Goad, Ian Shearer, and Aidan Shearer; as well as her two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Savannah.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in her name to your local church or animal shelter. Anyone wishing to send the family a message or share a story is asked to visit Jeannine's memorial page at www.foresthillspalmcityflorida.com.
