Obituary of Jeannine M. North
Jeannine Michele (Schultz) North of Carrollton Township, age 69, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.
Jeannine was born on February 29, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Robert L. and Miriam L. (Waxler) Schultz. While out dancing with friends, she met the love of her life, Mark Alan North. They were united in marriage on May 27, 1978, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and shared 47 years together.
Jeannine was a graduate of Carrollton High School, Class of 1974. She was employed for many years with Tegrant Corporation before her retirement.
Faith was central to Jeannine's life. A lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Saginaw until its closure, she faithfully served on the church council and sang in the choir. She later attended Zion Lutheran Church in Freeland until her health declined.
Jeannine's many joys included playing the piano, reading, working on crossword and Sudoku puzzles, and cross-stitching. She also loved traveling, camping, visiting family in Pittsburgh, and painting ceramics. Jeannine will be remembered for her beautiful singing and the many delicious cakes that she has baked over the years. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, who brought her the greatest joy.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mark North; her children, Ryan (Danielle) North and Douglas (Lisa) North; and her beloved grandchildren, Kylie, Jonathan, Ethan, Emilee, Landon, Liam, and Charlotte North. Also surviving are her siblings, Kathleen Thayer, Carl (Heidi) Schultz, and Robert (Laurie) Schultz; in-laws, Lynn Hunter, Gerald (Sherri) North, Dale North, Sheila North, and Sue North; one aunt, Dorothy Kratz, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jeannine was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Robert and Miriam Schultz; her sister, Christine (John "Mike") Jean; in-laws, Vernon Lyle and Mary C. North; brothers-in-law, Melvin Thornton, Timothy Thayer, Gary North, Larry (Kathleen) North, Robert North, David North, and Val Hunter; sisters-in-law, Marianne Schultz and Kimberly North.
Jeannine's family would like to thank two special nieces, Melanie McHenry and Andrea Curtis, for the help they have provided over the years. Also, thank you to the 6 floor staff at Covenant Harrison for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to Jeannine in her time of need.
