Jeff Bourque Obituary
New Iberia – A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Jeff Bourque, 64, who passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home.
Deacon Russell Hayes will officiate.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Jeff was born on December 8, 1958, to Allen and Marylyn Lanerie Bourque, and was a 1978 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. An avid motocross racing fan, he enjoyed drinking beer and spending time with his friends, who affectionately called him “Peg”.
Survivors include mother, Marylyn Lanerie Bourque; sons, Coty Bourque and Casey Bourque (Shayna); grandchildren, Brie Bourque, Jenee’ Bourque, Gavin Guidry, and Gabby Guidry; brother, Matt Bourque; sisters, Tammy Bourque LaBiche and Rachael Bourque Quebedeaux (Andy); and best friends, Tara Jeffery and Tiffany Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Bourque; daughter, Courtney Bourque Guidry; and a brother-in-law, Franklin LaBiche.
Pallbearers will be Gavin Guidry, Matt Bourque, Keith Oubre, Jackie Judice, Marcus Boudreaux, and Smitty Smith.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and nurses of Bridgeway Hospice, for their exceptional care and to Dr. Quebedeaux for making Jeff comfortable during his last days.
