His Legacy... Jeff will be remembered for his crazy humor and his caring nature as a man who lived with love and purpose. Born and raised in DeWitt, he graduated from Dewitt High School, where he was a member of the swim team.

He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 27 years, including time in Germany and during the Desert Storm campaign. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and professional hunter for Veteran Broadheads, and he especially enjoyed hunting whitetail deer and turkey. He was also a skilled competitive marksman in both rifle and pistol shooting. Jeff became licensed to operate his own at-home HAM radio, which he used to connect with people near and far.

Above all, Jeff loved his family. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, and grandfather who will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and love for his grandkids.

His Family… Jeff will be missed by his loving wife, Lona Foster; his stepson, Zach (Rachael) Lessner; his mother, Heidi Foster; siblings, Rick Foster and Chad (Nikki) Foster; grandchildren, Kane Lessner and Judd Lessner; and Samantha (Nick), Kelce, and Harley Foster; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Foster; Grandma, Thelma Foster.

His Farewell… Jeff's family and friends will gather Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Fowlerville, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Wednesday 29th, 2025 at 7:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Fowlerville, Michigan. Jeff Heimsoth will serve as celebrant. I was lucky enough to work with Jeff for a while and man did he have the best stories. You always knew how to make us laugh. He would share stories of his goats and his love for hunting. He will be missed by so many. Gone far too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

The short time we´ve known Jeff, he was a quiet, kind, & sweet guy. His life was cut short but memories of him will last forever.
Our hearts go out to you Lona and your family. We´ll be asking God to give you strength.
Hugs & Much Love, Mary Jo & Fred
