Jeff Temelcoff

Jeffrey Temelcoff was born on February 11, 1968 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026 at his home, surrounded by love and comfort with his devoted wife, Mitzi Temelcoff by his side.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jeff leaves behind his children, Craig Rios, Kacie Sparks, Josh Temelcoff, Dillion Temelcoff, Blake Cantrell, Andrew Browder, Zoey Sherman, Faylea Willis, Michael Willis, and Hannah Willis; grandchildren, Trenton Sparks, Hunter Sparks, Jackson Hazel-Grace Sherman, CJ Sherman, Millie Sherman, and Oliver Queen; parents, James Lenn Temelcoff and Mary Ann Taylor; siblings, Tracy Heck and Eric Hout; step-siblings, David Scott Johnson and Robert Lee Johnson; and many nieces and nephews including, James Heaton, Stormy Bureta, Gunner, Aurora and Gunner, Jr., Brieanna Johnson, Nevaeh, Eric Hout, Levi, Talen, Iegan, Wirsten Hout, Wryker, Diesher Hout, Keith Hout, Pd, and Eric Hout, Jr.

Don and Lou Temelcoff were Jeffrey's uncle and aunt, who took him in and raised him from a very young age, helping him to become the man that he was.

Jeffrey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man who vauled loyalty, love, and togetherness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. He had many careers throughout his time on earth and lastly was a deli manager the Mount Vernon Walmart. He enjoyed being a deli manager at Walmart and was a dedicated employee. He loved his animals like they were his kids. He had a bird, three dogs, and a cat. He loved to be outside, cooking, and enjoyed life when he was not working. He enjoyed his work and life until his last breath.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Blackwell Temple A.M.E. Zion Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Rev. Clarisa L. Blakemore officiating. Interment will follow at Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville, Illinois.
