Jeffery Andrae, 67, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his home.
Jeff was born in Fort Benning, Georgia and had lived in the Savannah area for 25 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristen Ritch, his parents, Raymond and Ruth Sieloff Andrae, two brothers, Bruce Andrae and Raymond Andrae, Sr., and a sister, Dorothy Harnish. Jeff served his country in the United States Army. He was employed for many years with California Cartage Company where he loved his employees and treated them like family. Growing up, Jeff was an avid basketball player winning many awards and actively played into his 30s. He loved watching all sports, but especially the Braves and Georgia Bulldogs (Go Dawgs!). Win or lose, they were his teams. He enjoyed reading, live music, and will be remembered for doing anything for anyone. Most of all he loved his family. The center of his world was his children, grandchildren, and grand-dogs. He was known as the baby and animal whisperer. In recent years, Jeff and his brothers, Don and Rich, began annual brothers trips. He looked forward to the adventures they went on and cherished the memories made.
Survivors include his wife, who was his best friend and world, Rita S. Andrae; children, Sarah Pollock (Stephanie), Brandon Andrae (Brittany), Courtney Andrae, and Garrett Andrae; grandchildren, Maya Pollock, Reid Andrae, and Cleo Andrae; nephew, Simon Harte (who was like a son to Jeff); brothers, Don Andrae (Diane) and Richard Andrae (Cheryl); sister Emalee White (Dean), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeff's wishes were to be cremated with no funeral services. A graveside celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
