Jeffery was born on December 29, 1972, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Edward and Jean (Lamb) Blackmon. He graduated from Joliet Junior College where he studied business. He last worked for Cracker Barrel Restaurants doing maintenance in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeffery loved semi-trucks, and he wanted to drive like his father did.
Jeffery is survived by his father, Edward Blackmon of Center Point, AL; sisters: Jennifer Blackmon of Arizona, Stephanie Blackmon of Mississippi; brothers: Edward "Chuck" Blackmon of Joliet, IL and Rodney Blackmon of Birmingham, AL.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Blackmon.
The family has chosen cremation and entrusted Integrity Funeral Service & Cremation with their wishes. There are no services scheduled at this time.
