Dorothy Mae Hoehn Marshall was born on May 29, 1928, to Walter Hoehn and Dorothy (May) Trett Hoehn. She graduated from Wheatfield High School in 1946 and later attended Gallagher Business School.

On January 23, 1951, she married Alvah D. Marshall, with whom she shared a loving marriage until his passing in 1996.

Dorothy worked as a book keeper for the Jasper County Farm Bureau for over two decades, beginning her career in Tefft and later serving in Pleasant Ridge. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, sticking with her team through the highs and lows

A devoted member of the Wheatfield First Baptist Church, Dorothy served faithfully as a Financial Secretary and Deaconess. She was also actively involved in the church's food pantry ministry for many years.

Dorothy was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 406. She also volunteered alongside her best friend, Karen Rust, as a "Pink Lady" at Porter Memorial Hospital, offering comfort and support to patients and families.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Ronald) Musch and Denise (Al) Estrada; her grandchildren, Ryan Musch, Lindsay Musch, Nicholas (Mindy) Allen, and Kelsey (Tim) Lupa; and her great-grandchildren, Trenton, Alyse, Ava, Grayce, Kyndra, Addison, Everett, and Chloe. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra (Richard) Hershman, and sister-in-law Gabriella Marshall.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvah; her brothers, Walter Hoehn and Donald Hoehn; and her sister-in-law, Juanita Hoehn.

Dorothy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, kind heart, and deep love for her family and community. She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of service, devotion, and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to Integrity Funeral Service in Wheatfield, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 for a visitation beginning at 10:00, until the time of service. Services will be led by Pastor Dave Patterson at noon.
