Jeffery L. "Jeff" Branham

Jeffery "Jeff" L. Branham, aged 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice after a prolonged illness.
Born on August 9, 1953, in Pike County, KY, Jeff spent his formative years in Vermilion before relocating back there in 2020 from Elkhorn City, KY.
Jeff dedicated 44 years of his life to Chisholm Coal Co in Phelps, KY, where he served in various roles including shuttle car operator, roof bolter, foreman, and head of safety before retiring in 2020. He was an active member of the United Mine Workers of America and regularly attended the Church of Christ.
In his leisure time, Jeff found solace in fishing, tinkering with small motors, repairing machinery, and caring for his home, yard, and flower gardens.
He is survived by his daughters: Jacqueline (Shellie) Tackett of Georgetown, KY, Tonya (Paul Martin) Branham of Georgetown, KY, Brandi (Michael) Morrison of Georgetown, KY, and Katelyn Blankinship of Paintsville, KY; grandchildren: Corey, Cade, Summer, Bryson, Paisley, and Kash; great-grandchildren: Coltyn and Harley; sister, Mary Mosley of Vermilion; and brothers: Gregory Branham of Vermilion, and Fred Branham of Vermilion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Juanita "Jackie" (nee Ward) Branham, brothers, Michael and Teddy Branham, and three infant brothers.
Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Pastor Shellie Tackett will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
