Jeffery Ken Brockway, of
Rockwall, Texas, passed away on November 4, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 55. He was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1970, in Mesquite, Texas, to Windell Curtis and Donna Kay Brockway.
Jeff grew up in Rockwall, where he made lifelong friendships that carried through the years. A graduate of Rockwall High School's Class of 1988, Jeff was well-known for his athleticism and team spirit as both a running back and linebacker on the Yellowjackets football team. His passion for sports continued throughout his life - he was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and loved talking sports with anyone who would listen.
To those who knew him, Jeff was an extrovert through and through, with a quick wit and a love for life that could light up any gathering. He was the life of the party, someone who made others feel seen and welcomed, and who could turn even the simplest day into a memorable one. His adventurous heart led him to travel across the United States, finding beauty wherever he went. He loved to roam, often taking off on spontaneous trips just to see where the road might lead.
Jeff spent much of his working life as a handyman around the Rockwall area. He took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand to friends, neighbors, or anyone in need. In his free time, Jeff loved being outdoors. Whether he was out on the golf course, casting a line while fishing, or spending time hunting, he found peace and joy in nature. Riding his bike gave him the freedom he loved most, and he often took long rides, enjoying the open air. Jeff also enjoyed word puzzles, a pastime that balanced his otherwise active and outgoing lifestyle.
Jeff loved spending time with his siblings, his nieces and nephews, and later, his great nieces and nephews - always teasing, joking, and sharing stories that made everyone laugh. His family and friends will forever remember him for his heart, his free spirit, and the way he lived life fully and unapologetically.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Windell Brockway; his grandparents, Willie and Euna Brockway; and his grandmother, Nanny Bostick. He is survived by his loving mother, Donna Brockway; sister, Tammy Triem and husband Terry; brothers, Mark Brockway and wife Sharon, and Kip Brockway and wife Kristen; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored him.
"We love you Jeff and will miss you very much. Rest in your Heavenly Father's Arms, my son. Your battles are over." Love, Mom
