Jeffery G. Norris, 64, of Plainfield, passed away on October 24, 2024. He was born on February 10, 1960 in Monticello, KY to Billy and Doris Norris. Jeff was a 1978 graduate of Plainfield High School. He worked hard to support his family, having worked 30 plus years for YRC before retiring in 2022. However, his most cherished role was that of a loving and supportive father to his two daughters whom he adored dearly. He made it a priority to be sure they always felt his unwavering love and support. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union Local 135 where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed crappy fishing, deer hunting, trips to Kentucky visiting family, and cheering on his beloved Kentucky Wildcats in his free time. He loved spending time with his family, especially his adored grandchildren. He had the biggest heart, and his legacy of unforgettable love, humor, and friendly nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Norris. Survivors include his father, Billy Norris; daughters, Jessica Norris and Brittany (Kyle) Garber; sister, Jethonia "Tonna" (David) Mayes; grandchildren, Dylen Guzman, Makenaly McCormack, Everly Garber and another baby girl on the way in December. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
